Cordless rivet nut tool Gesipa FIREBIRDIE CAS (M3–M8);

The FireBirdie® tool was specially developed for industrial applications where reliability, efficiency, and ease of use are critically important. The tool enables continuous screwing and unscrewing of rivet nuts – even when working with long or pre-inserted rivet nuts. The screwing process starts automatically when pressing on the mandrel (nosepiece), and unscrewing is possible at any time. This ensures a smooth process and increases reliability.

For maximum control, a high-resolution display provides three operating modes: setting the rivet nut by adjusting the pulling force, setting the rivet nut by adjusting the mandrel stroke (nosepiece), or a combined mode in ThreadSafe. This allows precise adjustment of the FireBirdie® for the specific application and ensures consistently high quality and repeatable setting results. A special advantage is the ability to change nosepieces and mandrels without tools. The mandrel (nosepiece) length can be adjusted manually or with a wrench in seconds by simply turning the lock nut directly on the nosepiece. This significantly reduces setup time and simplifies use when changing rivet nut sizes.

With a stroke of 15 mm and a setting force of 13 kN, the FireBirdie covers the working range of rivet nuts made of galvanized steel and aluminum from M3 to M8, and stainless steel from M3 to M6. This allows the tool to easily handle demanding tasks. The tool weighs only approx. 1.8 kg including the battery, making it particularly mobile and ergonomic.

CONTINUOUS SCREWING AND UNSCREWING

The tool ensures continuous screwing and unscrewing regardless of the length or condition of the rivet nut. Even pre-installed or particularly long rivet nuts are reliably fully screwed and unscrewed.

THREE DIFFERENT OPERATING MODES

Working with rivet nuts by adjusting the pulling force, working by adjusting the mandrel (nosepiece) stroke, or a combined ThreadSafe mode where you retain full control over the setting process in every program.

TOOL-FREE MANDREL AND NOSEPIECE CHANGE

Thanks to the two-component system, the mandrel (nosepiece) and nosepiece can be changed quickly, safely, and without tools. The nosepiece diameters (Ø21 mm front, Ø23 mm rear) ensure optimal access to hard-to-reach components.

FULL POWER

As part of the CAS system family, the batteries can be flexibly used with various tools from different manufacturers.

BRUSHLESS MOTOR (BLDC)

The brushless motor is virtually wear-free and ensures a significantly faster setting process compared to standard battery-powered tools on the market.

WIDE WORKING RANGE

With a stroke of 15 mm and a setting force of 13 kN, the FireBirdie covers the working range of rivet nuts made of galvanized steel from M3 to M8. This allows it to easily handle demanding tasks.

UNSCREWING POSSIBLE AT ANY TIME

If it becomes necessary to stop the process during operation — due to incorrect installation, material issues, or other circumstances — you can stop the tool and perform unscrewing (removal of the rivet nut) at any time, similar to the “green button” function on FIREFOX®.

AUTOMATIC UNSCREWING WITHOUT BUTTONS

Simply lightly press the tool onto the rivet nut to activate unscrewing. No additional buttons — faster, more convenient, and intuitive to use.
