The TF 350-2 connecting press from Trumpf is a hand-held power tool designed to join sheet metal parts overlapped by cold-forging. The fastening element is a "press rivet" that is cut and molded from the workpiece material in one working stroke of the punch.
The main advantage of the press-punching before the traditional spot welding is that there is no damage to the surface due to heating, no preliminary and final processing is required, which significantly reduces the working time, there is no cost for connecting elements (screws, rivets), allows to connect different metals among themselves.
The tool is in working condition, it is equipped with a matrix holder 2 with a matrix 2+ for a sheet of 2.1-2.5 mm in total.
