Self-locking press fittings are used to create ideal high strength fasteners in many industrial applications, especially when using thin components. This fastener element provides a reliable and safe "cold" connection by pressing. The practicality, economy and high-speed of installation make it a very interesting option for modern production, allowing you to reduce production costs and speed up the workflow without losing quality.

Press-fit connectors provide a permanently strong fastening that resists twisting, tearing and pulling, even when joining two different materials with a thickness of 0.5 mm or more. They are installed simply and quickly - the fasteners are inserted into a previously prepared round hole of the required diameter, after which, due to the clamp, the fasteners are closed thanks to the self-locking system. The rod is fixed inside the nut, and its further twisting or displacement is prevented due to the serrated notches and the special shape of the head. During the installation of such a fitting, the fastened material is not damaged, no bulges or other deformations remain.

Installation instructions:

• Prepare the hole for the desired size mounting using the nameplate of the product or catalog.

• Do not countersink or remove burrs, which will facilitate the press-in process.

• In the case of perforated holes, the entry side of the perforator is optimal for installation.

• Press the self-locking fastener (do not hammer it!).

• To avoid deformation at the edges of the sheets of material, adhere to the minimum recommended distance to the edge in accordance with the product catalog / data sheet.

• Fasteners must always be harder than the materials being connected. Observe the information given in the product data sheets.

• When using aluminum sheets, make sure that the steel and stainless steel fixings are only installed after the sheet has been anodized.
