The THERMDRILL tap is used to cut internal threads after the firmware has been made with thermal drills. It is presented in the form of a rod with cut cut-off grooves forming the cutting edges. It is made of metals with the highest strength.

The THERMDRILL tap is used in cases where plastic drilling with thermo drills is performed in thin-walled products where a reliable connection is required, since the thread cutting process here is rather difficult due to the fact that the thread has an extremely short length (usually 1-2 turns), which makes the fasteners insufficient reliable. If earlier rivets, welded and pressed nuts were used for joining, today, thanks to high-quality thermal drills and rolling taps, it is possible to produce plastic drilling.
